"Have you seen Paris like this?"

now available to the public
Award winning photographer Susan McConnell's new collection, "Have you seen Paris like this?" delivers off the beaten path Parisian scenes. McConnell hired local guides who steered clear of traditional sights in favor of locations that capture everyday Parisian lifestyle and architecture. Shooting from rooftops, chic department stores, and winding streets, McConnell indulges viewers with a Paris that most foreigners never see.
Areas prominently featured throughout the collection include Le Marais, traditionally bourgeois and well known for its historical architure, and the markets, delicatessens and pastry shops of the Jewish Quarter. "My favorite shots were taken in the Jewish Quarter," says McConnell. "The market, which is frequented by the elite or their staff, proudly displayed plentiful fresh fish, cheeses and produce. The men who marketed fish wore blue to match the ice under the red and black fish. The men selling fowl wore red to match the red patches on the necks of the grouse."
